ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued a show-cause notice to secretary Islamabad High Court Bar Association (IHCBA) advocate Umair Baloch who interrupting court proceedings and forced the lawyers for strike over the Lahore’s incident.
Chief Justice IHC Justice Athar Minallah issued a show-cause notice to Baloch while suspending his license till Dec 19. The court asked him to explain why he may not be punished under the contempt of court ordinance 2003.
The court noted that keeping in view the gravity of the after mentioned act and conduct, the license of Mr Muhammad Umair Baloch, secretary IHCBA to practice before IHC shall remain suspended till December 19.
The court further observed that Mr Umair entered at the court room no-1 and forced his fellow lawyers to leave the court room and continued to force them despite the court asked him not to disturb the proceedings. “The above act and conduct of Mr Umair is non-professional and contempt punishable under the contempt of court Ordinance,2003,” observed the court.
